Who we are

MarginGoose (“MarginGoose,” “we,” “us”) is an independent profit-analytics tool for Etsy print-on-demand sellers. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Etsy, Inc. or Printify, Inc.

What data we collect

To compute your true profit per order, we collect:

• Account data you provide directly: email address, password hash, billing details.
• Etsy shop data retrieved via the official Etsy Open API (OAuth 2.0): shop info, listings, receipts, transactions, refunds, fees, ledger entries, and Etsy Ads spend. We never collect Etsy buyer email addresses unless you grant a separately approved scope.
• Printify data retrieved via the official Printify API: shop info, orders, line-item production costs, refund events.
• Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser, page paths) used for security and debugging.

How we obtain Etsy data

MarginGoose connects to Etsy exclusively through the official Etsy Open API using OAuth 2.0. You authorize the connection from your Etsy account. We do not scrape Etsy pages, we do not use undocumented endpoints, and we do not request write permissions. Read-only.

How we store and cache data

Etsy data is cached only as long as Etsy’s API Terms of Use allow, and only to the extent necessary to provide the service. We refresh data on a schedule that complies with Etsy’s caching guidance and rate limits. Data is stored encrypted at rest. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are never exposed to your browser.

How we use the data

We use the data only to:

• Compute and display order-level and shop-level profit metrics inside MarginGoose.
• Export your own data when you request it (CSV).
• Operate the service (authentication, billing, support).
• Communicate with you about your account or product updates.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train AI models.

Who can see your data

Only you and authorized members of your MarginGoose account can see your shop data inside the product. Subprocessors we use to operate the service (cloud hosting, database, error monitoring, billing) may process the data on our behalf under contractual confidentiality obligations.

Your rights

You can at any time:

• Revoke MarginGoose’s Etsy access from your Etsy account settings.
• Disconnect your Printify account from inside MarginGoose.
• Export your data as CSV.
• Delete your MarginGoose account, which deletes all associated Etsy and Printify data we hold within 30 days.

Data retention

We retain account and shop data while your account is active. If you cancel or delete your account, we permanently delete your data within 30 days, except where law requires longer retention (e.g. billing records).

Children

MarginGoose is intended for use by businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email before the changes take effect.
